Start a new Page
Tiki Essentials is a wiki structure. To create a new page, you must include it within the structure.
{TIP()}If you are translating an existing page, and want to start a new page for a different language, see Information for Translators.{TIP}
You can use the Wiki or WYSIWYG editor when writing pages.
To add a new page to the guide, use the wiki structure bar at the top of the page.
Your new page will be added after the current page.
{NOTE()}To make the new page a child (that is, a sub-page) of the current page, select the Child option.{NOTE}
Update an Existing Page
To update an existing page, simply navigate to that page and click the Edit button (
).

Adding new Images
To add a new image to the guide:
- Create the image and save it as a PNG image.
- On the page in which to include the new image:
- Click the Choose or upload images button.
Updating Images
If you need to update an existing image:
- Click the Choose or upload images button.
Adding Comments
You can use Comments to discuss an issue about a page. Comments are visible only to other contributors — not the general public.
Categorizing Pages
When creating or editing pages, be sure to categorize the page correctly. There are three categories used to organize the pages in this guide:
- Complete
- Pending
- Stub
To categorize a page:
- While editing the page, click the Categories tab.
- Select the appropriate Status category.
